This is a hobby I picked up from a friend of the family. She introduced me to the wonderful resource that is my local library. It had far more than just books and movies, but an entire art studio with equipment you can reserve and use for free after you are certified! Many libraries are going this route, and it is great for communities. It is a third location that isn’t home, work, or school that is generally free! I encourage you to investigate your local library and see ALL they have to offer. Be it an art studio, Hoopla Libby, or just the location and books/movies they hold for you to use! For free!

Laser Engravings: 2024 – 2025

Double-sided ornament with the same laser engraving of art on both sides. The scene depicts a prominent stylized skull with three small people interacting with it. The people all appear to be the same with minor differences. The person on the top of the skull is sitting in seiza (kneeling) while knitting an absurdly long scarf that trails down the oversized skull onto the floor. The distinguishing feature of them is they are wearing a hat. The figure to the left of the skull is leaning on the skull arms crossed. They look devilish with a smile of sharp teeth. They are not wearing a hat. The last figure is holding up the skull with an oversized skeletal hand and arm and in their other hand they have a wrench, as though they are working on the underbody of a mechanical object. Their hat is on the ground next to them. This ornament is cutting around this scene making an irregular shape with a ribbon bow is tied to the top. The ribbon is reddish pink.

Four double-sided ornaments depicting characters from a tabletop role play game we called "The Mysteries". The leftmost character is a small goblinoid with a pair of horns being tossed in a wok with shrimp fried rice. This is Wade. Topmost first and foremost has a large feather behind and eye. Behind the eye a figure. This is Ixis. They are mostly obscured with one eye visible and their finger held to their lips hiding a maniacel grin. Rightmost is a small figure sewing a dog embrodery onto a hankerchief. The figure is about as tall as his embrodery needle. This is Luc, a man with tusk like lower canines and small horns. Bottom is Iskra the jin. He wears a large hat that obscures his face. He seems to be thinking as he stands inside his arcane focus of a embrodery hoop with arcane symbols carved in the sides. Surrounding Iskra is some marbles and sticks.

Laser engraved wood - depicting a massive wolf's head looming over a manic appearing little girl holding an axe in a death like grip. The wolf has gold foil eyes. The wolf's teeth are exposed, and from his mouth blood flows down - rendered using red foil. The red foil blood drips down over the girl, becoming a red hooded cape.

A picture of a masculine person cutting into their own neck with a Japanese tantō (knife) while holding their mouth shut with the other hand. A halo surrounds the person's head with smoke and flames flickering off of their shoulders and frum unfer their button down shirt. There is a prominent scar cutting across the center of their nose starting from their left ear, across their nose and ending under their right eye. Their expression is tense with eyebrows furrowed. Around their right wrist is a crown-shaped manacle connected to a chain extending out of the picture. On their left wrist is more chain and a holly-like plant with red berries.
